The Zune 80 GB will initially only be available in Black (what! no Brown!!) and is a hard drive model.

Zune Software Features that all Zunes will have (including the existing 30GB Zune via firmware update):

• Wireless sync: wirelessly updates content on the device when it is within range of the PC with the Zune Collection on it, or on the same wireless network.
• Expanded wireless send capabilities. You can now keep a track for three plays and send a track you have been sent, to other Zune owners.
• Lossless playback will be supported on every Zune
• Podcasting – that is, automatic RSS based subscription to both audio and video podcasts via Zune Marketplace.
• You Will be able to sync your Vista Media Center TV content to your Zune and watch it on the go.
• Updated device UI.

So it’s officially confirmed, the new Zunes pictured above will be released in November. However, same as the first Zune, they will only be released in USA! Don’t worry though, ZuneThings will be taking UK pre-orders shortly!

The new Zunes are as follows:

Zune 80: 80 GB Hard Drive Zune. Smaller (thinner finally!) than existing Zune with a larger screen
Zune 4: 4GB Flash Based Zune. All same software and features as the Zune 80
Zune 8 8GB Flash Based Zune. As above.

Zune 30: The existing 30 GB Zune will still be available and will even get an update to it’s software to be the same as the new Zunes! This will be available for all existing Zune owners – very nice!
